A chat with Maya in Aura. Her prompt reads: worst take I'll defend, pineapple belongs on pizza. Coach Casanova suggests having fun with the take first, then asking for a call.

Bad first texts belong here.

Maya's prompt says pineapple belongs on pizza. You get one message to open with. Here's how two openers play out.

hey, how's your week going

it's going

did you read my prompt or

Vibe: that landed flat

A generic hey ignored the prompt she wrote for you.

Defend it. You get one sentence.

one sentence??

sweet and salty is the whole point of food. next question

Vibe: into it

You played with her prompt instead of opening with hey.

How a chat goes

  1. Pick a chat

A match with a strong opinion on pizza. The old friend whose last five texts were memes. A recruiter in your DMs. Every chat comes with one goal, like getting a call on the calendar.

The track picker in Aura: dating apps, friends and social, exes and situationships, and job hunt and interviews.
  2. Your coach nudges

Casanova or Lorelai reads every text with you and tells you what they'd try. Take the nudge or ignore it. You decide what gets sent, and the other person reacts to exactly that.

A chat with Ethan, whose profile asks about his failed sourdough era. Coach Lorelai suggests using the bread as an opener, then asking for a call.
  3. See your score

When the chat ends you get five scores and a straight debrief: the line that landed, the moment it cooled off, and what to send next time.

A level summary reading Maya agreed to a call, with a score of 84 out of 100 and scores for objective, comfort, excitement, connection and rhythm.

Start with the chat you keep putting off

Four tracks at launch, each one built from the conversations people actually dread.

Who do you want in your corner?

Casanova, a dark haired man in a black shirt, smiling slightly.

Casanova

Smooth, direct, a little cheeky.

I'll tell you the line that would have worked.

On Maya: "Your only job is to get Maya off text. Have fun with her pizza take first, then ask for a call."

Lorelai, a woman with long dark hair, looking straight ahead with a calm expression.

Lorelai

Warm, sharp and honest.

I'll tell you why it landed, and why it didn't.

On Ethan: "He handed you an opener with that bread, so use it, then ask."

Pick one at the start. Switch whenever you want a second opinion.

Straight from the game

Real screens from the current build. Maya, Ethan and the rest are characters, and the chats are sample levels.

Get good at the part after hello.
